Job Opening Summary
Assists as a member of the surgical team. Works with the surgeon, registered nurse and direct patient care before, during and after surgery. The technologist specialist functions as an instrument assistant and may also function as a circulating assistant under supervision of a registered nurse. Instruct and supervise orientees in sterile technique, procedures, anatomy, etc.
Job Opening QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- AST certification required and AST or NCCT certification maintained.
- Graduate of a recognized surgical technologist program
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- AST certification.
- AST or NCCT re-certification.
