Under general direction, the Violence Prevention Coordinator has direct responsibility for overseeing prevention education efforts on campus related to bystander intervention, sexual assault, dating/domestic violence and stalking for the graduate/professional student population. This includes developing, planning and delivering new student orientation(s) as well as ongoing and new programming.
Under the direction of the Assistant Director, the VPC provides prevention education and support to all students, faculty and staff. Supports the mission of CARE through the development and implementation of student-centered programs and services. Provides individual consultation, information/resource distribution, and referral to campus resources. Coordinates and provides oversight for the implementation of the Green Dot Bystander Intervention program. Frequently presents to student organizations and campus departments. Supervises and/or advises student staff, peer educators, student organizations and/or interns/volunteers in the department as assigned. Frequently shares expertise in campus presentations and panel discussions. Manages programs related to violence prevention education, including program development, planning, recruitment, outreach and publicity, assessment/evaluation; identification and selection of group activities, monitoring attendance and evaluation, managing the program assessment/evaluation data, and submitting final participation reports. Responsible for outreach to undergraduate students and/or graduate/professional students, faculty, staff and various campus and community partners partners. Liaison for collaborative programming with community-based agencies. Other special projects as assigned.

Irregular work schedule - may be required to facilitate trainings or programs during evenings or weekends.
