The Department of Medicine at the University of Washington (UW) is recruiting a new Head for the Division of Gastroenterology. The Division at UW has a long tradition of excellence in basic and clinical research, education and patient care. It has over 50 paid faculty across 6 sites, more than 30 staff and over $5 million in direct research grants and contracts. Its liver transplant program is prominent with 116 liver transplants last year. Established programs such as the Center for Microbiome Sciences & Therapeutics, and the GI Biorepository & Registry exemplify the Division's commitment to basic and clinical research. This position will be expected to demonstrate leadership and maintain a program of clinical, outcomes or basic research.
Appointment to the full-time faculty would be at the rank of associate or full professor with tenure. This position would have an annual service period of 12 months [July 1-June 30].
