Opportunity Details

Serve as the lead physician for the practice of Malignant Hematology
Assure the high quality and appropriateness of patient care rendered by members of the Division
Participate in the development of programs and services for patients with malignant hematology as deemed medically appropriate.
Develop guidelines to provide consistent care in the malignant hematology Unit.
Coordinate the multidisciplinary care provided by the pharmacists ,nurse practitioners, fellows and consultants in malignant hematology
Arrange necessary coverage for the Malignant Hematology inpatient and consult services at Shadyside/Presbyterian Hospital and outpatient care at the HCC SHY campus
Assume responsibility for direct patient care when medically necessary under emergent conditions or on request by attending physician
Foster the growth of clinical and translational research programs in malignant hematology taking advantage of our state-of-the-art academic environment and the expertise of basic and translational scientists across the Hillman Center
Participate in the teaching and training of Hematology and Oncology fellows, residents, and medical students and additional mentorship

Qualifications

Board Certified in Hematology or Oncology
Licensed to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Proven administrative capabilities in leading comprehensive programs and centers in a department, division or institution
Experience and record of leading teams and growing clinical program
