Job Description:
The Solution and Engineering Director serves as a key member of leadership and impacts the APAC region Logistics and Distribution business on leading core industrial engineering projects, driving solution and implementation activities for new business, leading technology and innovation activities and representing the organization as subject matter expert in customer facing events.
Key accountabilities
Manages the Solution and Engineering group for APAC Contract logistics business unit
Develops cost initiatives for operations to meet business plan requirements.
Collaborates with product operational groups to implement cost initiatives.
Participates in cross-functional team profit meetings to help establish business direction.
Leads Technology and Innovation effort and provide engineering support
Support Sales on customer RFQs with pricing, solutions and drive successful implementation
Key requirements
More than 10 years of experience in the Logistics and Distribution field with either operations, engineering or solution and implementation background
Prior experience with
- New facility setup and automation technology implementation
- Large scale multi-functional projects coordination with tight timelines
- Customer facing: be able to represent the organization and be the subject matter expert
- Collaboration with multiple GEO coordinators and best practice sharing
- Tracked record in people management especially managing large group of direct reports
Possess a degree in Engineering/ Supply Chain Management or equivalent
Proven strong financial and business acumen with P&L owner sense
Strong and effective communication and language skills: bilingual is a must; multi-lingual and be able to speak more than 2 Asian languages/dialects is a plus
Highly motivated individual with minimum supervision required
Travel commitment and flexible working hours
Strong team building, talent requisition and development experience is a plus
International experience working with multiple country operations is a plus
