Job Summary

The Product Marketing Asst. Manager participates in the management of UPS technology applications portfolio and assist in the development and execution of product marketing strategies. He/she gathers data and performs analyses to assess the performance of UPS's customer-facing technology, products and services.  The Product Marketing Asst. Manager assists his/her manager in summarizing and communicating the results of the analyses to key stakeholders throughout the organization.  The Product Marketing Asst. Manager manage a Senior Officer and reports to the Product Marketing Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops subject matter expertise on internal/external sources of information for analyses to provide information for decision making
  • Responds to inquiries from internal stakeholders concerning UPS's customer technology applications/products to facilitate understanding and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assists in writing product plans outlining product strategy, competitive analysis, business landscape, and implementation plans
  • Identifies customer needs and analyzes marketing research information to develop value propositions on UPS technology applications/products that clearly articulates UPS's positioning against the competition
  • Coordinates UPS Enterprise Release processes; communicates with internal stakeholders to facilitate understanding of enterprise release initiatives, and provide updates on initiative status and/or issues
  • Conducts and coordinates user acceptance testing process within the workgroup to test customer technology tools functionality
  • Supports workgroup and cross-functional efforts in addressing opportunities and gaps; establishes action plans based on customer research to enhance UPS customer-facing technology
  • Assists in developing Project Definition Documents (PDDs) and other product management documentation to gain support for technology applications enhancements
  • Assists in the development of project scope, schedule, initiation and work plan development to establish accountability.
  • Update project plans to ensure that projects are completed on time and according to specification
  • Supervise and develop others by holding others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals

Qualifications

  • Minimum Degree or higher - Marketing or Business Administration with at least two to three years relevant working experiences preferred
  • High level of proficiency in MS Excel (VLookup, Pivot table), MS PowerPoint, and MS Access
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work and interact well with cross-functions and colleagues in other countries
  • Logical thinking qualities and approach
  • Positive attitude towards a challenging work environment
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
