JOB TITLE : Pharmacy Team Leader

HOURS :37.5 hoursper week Monday – Friday 08:00 – 18:00

We are delighted to offer the role of Pharmacy Team Leader tojoin our team based within our Pharmacy and Dispensary who are responsible forensuring the teams provide the highest levels of patient and customer care atall times, deliver on KPI's whilst ensuring the department remains compliant..

You will be responsible for the delivery of operational effectiveness in relation to theresource, system compliance, processes and procedures.

You'll take responsibility for the management and development ofour Junior and Care Coordinators from their initial on boarding with thecompany and throughout their career ensuring they deliver an efficient patientfocused service whilst nurturing a progressional developmental environment bydelivering effective leadership and support.

To be responsible for driving efficiencies throughout thedepartment continuously improving the service provided.

You manage and support the teams contribution to the achievementof KPI's and deputise in the manager's absence.

This role requires a candidate who can work on multiple tasks ina busy and pressurised environment whilst maintaining the highest levels ofquality service, problem solving and providing innovative solutions.

To deal effectively with the complex issues that occur withinthis role you will need to have excellent organisational skills, take aproactive approach and work well under pressure.

The ability to build excellent internal and external stakeholderrelationships and nurture and develop a team are essential.

Working 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 0800 and 1800on a Monday to Friday basis, you must be flexible and prepared to workadditional hours as and when required to meet our service requirements whichmay be of an urgent medical nature.

Key Skills/Experience/Requirements:

  1. Deliver Operational compliance through effective implementationof Pharmacy policies, SOP'sand Work Instructions.

  2. Support and assist with the delivery of the clinical andinformation governance frameworks.

  3. Review Operation reports monthly making recommendations forimprovement and facilitate the delivery of these.

  4. Ensure all reporting is accurately delivered in a timely manner.

  5. Implement and integrate new client SLA's seamlessly into theclinical and operational service.

  6. Develop team through effective leadership and people managementskills, training, appraisals and progression plans.

  7. Develop effective internal/external stake holderrelationships

  8. Support and assist with all Pharmacy audits and coordinatedelivery of all subsequent actions within set timescales.

  9. Investigate and support the complaint/incident procedure workingwith the management team to implement all agreed CAPAs.

  10. Maintain Pharmacy KPI dashboard.

  11. Complete all relevant reports and administration dutiesaccurately and on time.


Key Skills:

  1. High standard oforganisational, show initiative and be proactive

  2. An excellent understandingof all areas of patient safety.

  3. Excellent attention todetail whilst working on multiple projects with different deadlines.

  4. KPI management experience.

  5. SAGE and Microsoftpackages.

  6. Team management anddevelopment experience.

Specialist Knowledge:

  1. Basic Knowledge of qualitymanagement

  2. Working Knowledge ofPharmacy regulations, RPS homecare standards; NHS policies and procedures.

  3. Working knowledge ofEmployment Law.

  4. MS Office to proficientlevel (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  5. Health and Safetyexperience

  6. DH homecare guidance.

  7. NVQ3 or degree orequivalent
