The University of Tennessee's Health Science Center, College of Dentistry seeks a full or part-time faculty member for their Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.Thisfaculty position offers a competitive salary, which along with rank is commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
The primary responsibilities of the position will include didactic and clinical instruction of dental and medical students and residents, scholarly activities, and service. The faculty member may also assist in facilitating departmental research. Participation in the developing faculty practice will be available. The training program currently staffs multiple hospitals including an active Level I Trauma Center, an additional acute care hospital and two pediatric hospitals in the City of Memphis.
Applicants must have a DDS, DMD or equivalent degree from an ADA accredited dental program and be eligible for full licensure in the State of Tennessee. In addition, the following is required:
- The completion of an accredited oral and maxillofacial surgery residency training program.
- Certification from the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Prior teaching or mentoring experience preferred.
