Position Summary: Under general supervision, provides appropriate care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful triage and treatment. Performs diagnostic testing and office procedures. Maintains accurate records dealing with quality assessment and adherence to Joint Commission regulations.
Education: High School diploma or GED required. Associates degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. (Will proved BLS training if necessary). CMA, CCMA, or RMA Certification is required.
Experience: One year medical assistant experience in a provider's office preferred. Functional knowledge of computers.
Skills: Ability to obtain vital signs and assist with medical procedures preferred. Familiarity with electronic medical record. Able to adapt to frequent interruptions in a routine workday. Strong verbal communication.
