Position Summary: The QAPI Coordinator provides leadership to the QAPI initiatives across all facility disciplines. Responsible for identifying performance improvement opportunities and providing leadership in the data collection, analysis and reporting function. Responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance related to the delivery of resident care, and remains abreast of organizational, industry and regulatory initiatives/standards applicable to skilled nursing care. Provides leadership to select clinical initiatives designed to improve resident quality of care and clinical outcomes. Responsible to oversee the develop/delivery of educational programming that meets regulatory requirements and contributes to performance improvement within the facility. May be required to work extended hours as needed to ensure the delivery of quality resident care. Participates in the administrative call/coverage function for the nursing department.
Education: Associates degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current state license as a Graduate Professional Nurse (RN). BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification.
Experience: Minimum of one year experience in geriatrics preferred.
*May be required to work additional hours of varying shifts to meet the operational needs of the department.
