Under the direction of the Director, Clinical Services, the Float Pool II registered nurse delivers patient care on critical care units utilizing the nursing process of assessment planning, implementation, and evaluation. S/he also directs and guides patient teaching and activities of Ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Orientation in this position will occur on all WMHS critical care nursing units, which will enable the practitioner to function independently and assume all responsibilities of patient care for any/all patient populations including critical care. Qualified candidates will have a proven record of quality patient care and be a role model for WMHS' Service Excellence standards. Education: Graduate of an approved program in professional nursing with an Associate Degree, Diploma or Baccalaureate Degree.
Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in an accredited acute care hospital is required. Documented experience with critical care patients is preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses. ACLS certification is required.
