Senior Customer Quality Engineer


Reporting to the Head of Customer Quality Engineering, EMEA, the Staff Customer Quality Engineering role will coordinate quality engagements and be the point of contact for customers on component and card quality. Leading cross-functional efforts to identify and solve problems, you will be a promoter for continuous improvement. You will have the following responsibilities:

New Product Introduction support

  • Compile and communicate New Product Introduction qualification & reliability updates to customer
  • Management of key customer accounts and market segment
  • Interface with Xilinx sales and customers to identify customer experience issues and drive improvement
  • Support customer audits and visits both to and from customers (travel required)
  • Communicate product change notifications and quality alert
  • Understand emerging customer quality, use profiles, and environmental requirements

Customer Issue Resolution

  • Work closely with sales FAE's & technical support to diagnose application issues & other customer problem
  • Resolve customer issues to root cause and corrective actions

Required:


  • Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
  • 8 years (or equivalent) experience in semiconductor or electronics industries in a quality, supplier quality management, product/design engineering, support or field applications role
  • Track record of negotiating issues with demanding internal and external stakeholders to solve complex technical issues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record in building strong customer relationships
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task

Preferred:


  • Expertise in electronics manufacturing (especially wafer fabrication, packaging and assembly technologies, Product Test, Silicon Technology)
  • Experience in ASIC, ASSP, Programmable Logic Platforms and Embedded Processor Cores
  • Project management skills
  • Experience in end markets such as Automotive, Datacenter, Wired/Wireless
  • Experience in the application of root cause analysis techniques, such as 8D, SPC, 6-sigma, 5-why analysis, FMEA or equivalent
