About the role:

As the Senior Human Resources Manager for the operation, you will lead a team of HR professionals to manage all elements of the Human Resources function within San Ciprián operations. This includes labor relations, employee engagement, talent management, succession planning, recruitment, onboarding and defining the operational HR strategy aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • As a member of the Operations Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment, optimizing workforce efficiency, and promoting inclusion, diversity, and equity within the organization.
  • Applying your problem solving, communication and negotiating skills to manage Labor Relations while managing and nurturing relationships with labor unions and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • You will oversee a comprehensive talent management strategy to attract, develop, and retain high-performing employees.
  • Partnering with senior management to align HR policies and practices with business objectives and providing strategic HR support to the operations leadership team and line managers.
  • Work collaboratively with the Total Rewards team to manage the total rewards strategy, including benefits, and recognition programs for the site, to ensure competitiveness and market relevance; and
  • Lead site-based recruitment efforts to attract top talent and manage the onboarding process to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into the organization.

What you can bring to the role:

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, teamed with 7-10 years' hands on HR experience.
  • Working knowledge of Spanish labor laws and regulations to handle labor-related matters, will be highly beneficial.
  • As a multi-tasker, you will have a track record in organizing and facilitating training sessions on HR policies, labor laws, and workplace best practices, with line management.
  • Your well-developed communication skills will help you create effective relationships with managers, union representatives and employees,
  • Ideally you will be fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English; and
  • Experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing setting will be highly beneficial to understanding the work environment.
