As a Security Officer - Armed Utilities Patrol in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor and report on security-related risks, hazards, and unusual circumstances encountered during patrols.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and authorizations as required for entry to restricted areas.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel and/or local authorities during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding security-related activities, incidents, and/or observations during each shift.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
