JOB TITLE: 2027 Term 1 Internship –Diagnostic Design Engineering
LOCATION: Singapore
ONSITE/HYBRID REQUIREMENT: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in either a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the intern term.
CRITERIA: Current students studying in universities based in Singapore and able to provide a placement/support letter from their school covering the entire internship period.
INTERNSHIP DURATION: Term 1 Internship Start Date: 4 Jan 2027, End Date: 28 May 2027 or 6 Aug 2027.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
The Diagnostics team is responsible for developing tests and suites that exercise and validate the hardware blocks for AMD's processors. We understand the features that go into the HW design, and we have the software skills to program them to life. Once developed these diagnostics are used in all aspects of the product lifecycle, from pre-silicon verification through the production life. We are seeking a highly motivated Diagnostics Design intern to join our team.
In this role, you will gain software and hardware knowledge by your involvement in:
- You will design, implement, and verify diagnostic tests used in processor qualification and production test suites for both internal and external customers.
- Debugging and solving HW and SW problems.
- We will train you to analyze fallout boards to identify opportunities to improve test time, test effectiveness, and overall efficiency.
- You will help resolve customer issues, including investigating and debugging diagnostic source code using advanced C++ programming in a Linux system environment.
- Assisting in ASIC bring-up and support activities for our latest data center/AI, gaming graphics, and embedded HW products.
- Build and debug automation tools/scripts to assist with the above.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: - Pursuing in a Bachelor's program majoring in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or a related field.
- If you have knowledge of or experience with any of the following technical skills –
- Good knowledge of software programming (C++, scripting)
- Familiarity with PC/system, GPU and CPU hardware architectures
- Experience with software development and debugging in Linux
- Experience with source control systems (Git, SVN, etc.)
