THE ROLE:
Join AMD's AI Platform Engineering organization and help shape the future of next-generation AI and data center infrastructure. As a System Architect, you will play a critical role in defining and driving innovative system architectures that power AMD's strategic AI initiatives. Working alongside senior technical leaders, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams, you will evaluate new technologies, develop architecture concepts, conduct feasibility studies, and influence the design of cutting-edge AI server platforms.
This role offers the opportunity to work on highly visible programs that are a top strategic priority for AMD, collaborating with teams across hardware, silicon, software, thermal, power, and platform engineering disciplines. You will help solve complex technical challenges at scale while influencing products that support the evolving demands of enterprise AI and large-scale data center deployments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive system architecture initiatives for next-generation AI infrastructure and data center platforms.
- Perform architecture concept studies, feasibility assessments, and system-level tradeoff analyses to support future product development.
- Collaborate with hardware, silicon, software, thermal, power, and platform engineering teams to define scalable solutions.
- Develop architecture recommendations that support enterprise AI workloads and large-scale data center deployments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, interface standards, and industry trends to influence future platform strategy.
- Within the first several months, establish an understanding of AMD's AI platform roadmap, architecture requirements, and key stakeholder relationships.
- Over time, become a technical leader influencing architecture decisions across major development programs and driving innovation within the organization.
- Contributes to long-term roadmap planning by identifying opportunities for architectural advancements and next-generation system capabilities.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- System architecture experience supporting AI infrastructure, AI servers, high-performance computing, or large-scale data center environments.
- Experience developing system-level solutions within semiconductor, silicon, platform, or advanced technology organizations.
- Knowledge of AI server architecture, enterprise computing platforms, and data center technologies.
- Experience with high-speed electrical interfaces and modern connectivity standards.
- Exposure to high-power system design, thermal architecture, and platform scalability considerations.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, next-generation interface standards, and innovative computing architectures.
- Experience influencing technical direction across cross-functional engineering organizations.
- Ability to communicate complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
