THE ROLE:
The Business Operations Project Management Office (PMO) supports AMD's strategic goals by managing cross-functional projects within Global Operations and Quality (GOQ). We simplify processes, identify improvement opportunities, and deliver scalable solutions that enable customer success and optimize project investments.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate is curious, adaptable, and comfortable working across teams to move projects forward. They communicate clearly, build strong working relationships, and stay organized while juggling multiple priorities. They approach problems with a calm, analytical mindset, ask thoughtful questions, and collaborate openly to drive practical, scalable improvements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support cross-functional projects within GOQ to meet cost, revenue, and quality objectives.
- Learn AMD's standard project management methodology through training and onboarding.
- Lead and guide project teams using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and other problem-solving methods.
- Define project approaches, create charters, and develop schedules for process improvement and cost savings initiatives.
- Report project progress regularly, including presentations to senior leadership.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of PMP and LSS methodologies.
- Familiarity with portfolio management concepts.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Basic understanding of AI and its role in process improvement.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
