Chief of Staff (12‑month Fixed‑Term Contract – Parental Leave Cover)
The Chief of Staff is a senior, trusted partner to site and executive leadership, operating across strategy, operations, and execution to ensure smooth day‑to‑day functioning, strong governance, and effective delivery of leadership priorities.
This role requires a senior profile with the capability to engage at a strategic level, contribute to leadership discussions, and support decision‑making — while also being comfortable stepping into hands‑on, operational, and administrative work. The role is best suited to an experienced professional who combines strategic judgement with a strong execution mindset and is not reluctant to personally drive tasks through to completion when required.
The role connects strategy, people, and operations, with particular ownership of site management, leadership operations, and executive support.
Scope & Expectations
- Senior role with direct exposure to and partnership with executive leadership
- Meaningful involvement in strategic planning, prioritization, and change initiatives
- At the same time, the role is highly execution‑focused, with a strong emphasis on coordination, administration, and operational follow‑through
- Success depends on a willingness to personally engage in detail‑oriented and hands‑on work, particularly in leadership operations, site management, and executive support
Key Responsibilities
Executive & Leadership Partner & LT Operations
- Own Silo LT forums end‑to‑end, including agenda shaping, coordination, logistics, materials preparation, and facilitation as needed
- Provide direct executive support, including preparation of materials, action tracking, follow‑ups, and cross‑functional coordination
- Drive executive and leadership reporting, translating data into clear, structured, and actionable insights
- Enable effective Silo‑wide communication, including hands‑on preparation and delivery support for quarterly All‑Hands and business updates
- Support and orchestrate change initiatives, contributing strategically while ensuring practical implementation
- Coordinate AMD Executive visit content, scheduling, logistics, and materials
Headcount & Budget Planning & Coordination
- Lead the operational coordination of headcount and budgeting processes, including tracking, forecasting, consolidation, and alignment with strategic priorities
- Partner with HR on organizational design and site structure evolution
- Act as the key site‑level operational interface with AIG Finance on HC, budget, and related matters
Silo Site Leadership & Site Administration Management
- Act as Silo Site Lead, supporting site leadership forums and decision‑making through effective coordination and preparation
- Oversee the Silo Site Admin team, ensuring high‑quality, compliant, and reliable execution across:
- Facilities and office management
- Equipment coordination
- Finance administration, including local Accounts Payable
- Legal entity administration in line with local and corporate requirements
- Internal events supporting leadership engagement and culture
- Personally support the practical organization of executive visits as required
- Coordinate local HR‑related activities as needed, including representing the company in shop steward discussions
Key Skills & Profile
- Senior professional with experience operating close to executive leadership
- Ability to contribute at both strategic and operational levels
- Strong execution mindset with a willingness to personally drive hands‑on tasks
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills with high attention to detail
- Proven experience with budgeting, headcount planning, and executive reporting
- Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities
- Comfortable navigating people, operations, finance, and strategy — and moving fluidly between them
