THE ROLE:
In this high-visibility role, you will lead the definition and execution of engineering programs and scalable processes that enable AMDs continued expansion in commercial client solutions. You will drive engagement across internal stakeholders and with key customers, positioning AMD as the preferred commercial client partner for Fortune 500 enterprises across the full product lifecycle. You will collaborate across Engineering and Business functions to deliver program objectives on schedule and with high quality.
THE PERSON:
You bring a minimum of eight years relevant leadership experience in product development engineering, ideally within commercial client systems. Demonstrated use of AI in product and/or process development is a must! You've recently served as a technical/engineering lead and can drive complex, multi-site, cross-disciplinary programs in partnership with Product and Program Management. Technical Program Management experience is a plus, as is silicon or system bring-up and debug experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define, plan, and drive projects and program plans.
- Manage all phases of initiatives from ideation and incubation through proof of concept and execution within AMD and with OEM/ODMs and end customers.
- Build program plans and drive day-to-day execution against commitments.
- Define feature requirements, development milestones, and integrated schedules.
- Identify NUDDs, risks, and mitigation/contingency plans.
- Develop validation plans that enable a best-in-class out-of-the-box customer experience.
- Drive resolution of customer blockers and end-user use case issues.
- Communicate effectively with senior executives; executive-level engagement is a hard requirement.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Strong technical competence, including leveraging AI for engineering development, and solid understanding of system-level design considerations.
- Ability to lead teams, build relationships, and drive effective decisions across functions and levelsinternally and with customers.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or a related field required.
- MBA is a plus
