THE ROLE:

The Legal Department is seeking a highly motivated corporate counsel to join the team supporting AMD's Adaptive and Embedded Computing Group (AECG). The Corporate Counsel primarily works with the engineering organizations within AECG as product counsel in support of its SoCs, FPGAs, data center and telco acceleration cards, computational storage drives, SmartNICs, SOMs, and related software and AI tools. Additionally, the Corporate Counsel will work with sales, marketing, and business development organizations within AECG to support engagements with customers and other business partners.

THE PERSON:

This person should be a self-starter who can work both independently and as a team and who understands when it is appropriate to escalate issues. This person should make sound judgments and recommendations and have excellent verbal and written communication skills but be comfortable using “plain English” to explain complex legal concepts. It is important for this person to be an efficient and effective multitasker while managing workload and competing priorities. Success in this role typically involves a creative problem-solver with a practical, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset. Ideally, in addition to being a standout colleague with a good sense of humor, this person will possess an intellectual curiosity and a desire to support complex and cutting-edge software and hardware products.
