THE ROLE:
We are looking for a motivated verification engineer with a passion for modern processor architecture and hardware security. In this role, you will contribute to verifying next‑generation CPU features, collaborating closely with architects, hardware designers, and firmware engineers. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career engineers eager to deepen their verification expertise and work on high-impact technologies.
You will learn and gain exposure to hardware security concepts and microarchitecture, industry-leading verification methodologies, and will have close collaboration with experienced architects and firmware engineers. You will have the opportunity to work on emerging CPU security features and help shape test strategies.
THE PERSON:
- You are enthusiastic about hardware security and processor architecture.
- You enjoy solving complex technical problems and learning new concepts quickly.
- You work well with engineers across multiple sites/time zones.
- You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively in team settings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with architecture, hardware, and firmware teams to understand new features and their intended behavior.
- Build or contribute to test plans, considering interactions with hardware, firmware, and software drivers.
- Estimate development effort for test creation and environment updates with team guidance.
- Develop both directed and random verification tests.
- Debug test failures to determine root cause; partner with RTL and firmware engineers to resolve design issues or testbench problems.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Interest in hardware security and emerging CPU security features.
- Understanding of computer architecture and microarchitecture.
- Hands-on experience with RTL verification (directed tests, random test generation, simulation-based debug).
- Knowledge of assembly language, C, and C++.
- Experience debugging firmware or RTL code using simulation tools.
- Exposure to Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, or Shell.
- Comfortable working in Linux environments.
- Exposure to hardware security vulnerabilities (e.g., Spectre, Meltdown) or virtualization is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field and 2+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent practical experience.
