THE ROLE:
The Product Marketing Manager will help lead the creation of AMD consumer processor product content (AMD Ryzen), including launch execution and product feature and benefits, while developing and creating sales materials for various events, meetings, and customer requests.
THE PERSON:
You have outstanding communication and presentation skills, strong analytical/problem-solving and are result-oriented. You are self-directed, a strategic thinker, able to handle complexity and ambiguity. Finally, you can work effectively and manage through influence in a cross-functional, matrixed organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop all processor positioning and messaging for products and gaming platforms with the Product Team
- Develop product marketing assets, which include messaging documents, product presentations, sales enablement materials, videos, infographics, etc.
- Support and train sales and marketing teams in understanding the product positioning, key benefits, and target customers
- Provide feedback to Product Team on product requirements as well as updates on competitive situation
- Work closely with Technical Marketing and Engineering to create proof-points for marketing campaigns and product messaging
- Understand and translate technical details into marketing materials explaining product benefits to customers, partners, and end users
- Follow and analyze industry and market trends to position products and technology
- Deploy assets to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, email, internal marketing hubs, external communities, etc.)
- Collaborate with various teams (go-to-market, regional, digital, social media, software marketing, product management and other teams) to implement strategies and execute marketing activities
- Manage external agencies as needed
- Develop and recruit best-in-class talent to establish an industry-leading product marketing team, while balancing priorities, resources, partners, and competitors.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in Product Marketing or Product Management within a high-tech PC company
- Minimum of 5 years gaming industry experience
- Experience developing content and solutions for global consumer markets
- Demonstrable experience with market analysis
- Proven track record of innovation
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering
- MBA Preferred
