THE ROLE: 

Provide financial support for a dedicated team within AMD. 

 

THE PERSON: 

You are a results-oriented self-starter with excellent communication skills.  You possess attention to detail and well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. You have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and are comfortable with ambiguity.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining financial models essential for quarterly, annual, and long-term planning concerning Cost of Goods Sold, operating expenses, and capital expenses.
  • Assisting in the intra-quarter forecast/outlook process.
  • Conducting month-end close procedures, including expense reviews, accruals/reclassifications, and the preparation of supporting schedules.
  • Performing detailed expense variance analyses between actual results and forecasts, and providing recommendations for cost control.
  • Compiling inventory reconciliations.
  • Generating reports, both scheduled and ad-hoc, to support financial analysts and/or the leadership team.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as MS Word, Advanced MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills necessary for managing various initiatives.
  • Sound understanding of financial concepts and financial modeling.
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, proactive approach, self-motivation, and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • A degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant professional qualifications.
