THE ROLE:

Join AMD's Strategic Foundry Procurement team, where you'll help drive the sourcing strategies and supplier partnerships that enable our cutting‑edge semiconductor products. In this highly collaborative role, you'll work closely with global foundry suppliers, internal engineering teams, finance, and operations partners. You will influence procurement execution, optimize procure‑to‑pay processes, and support the scalability needed for AMD's continued growth. This role offers exposure to a dynamic, fast‑moving environment with opportunities to shape both process and supplier performance across our global supply chain.

 

THE PERSON:

You are a proactive problem‑solver who excels at navigating ambiguity and driving clarity. You are skilled at evaluating data, selecting the right methods to achieve results, and partnering with experts across different disciplines. Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities are essential, along with the initiative to lead cross‑functional efforts that improve procurement scalability and operational efficiency.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Partner with foundry suppliers and AMD teams to execute procurement activities, including new product introductions, program oversight, purchase requisition/order processing, spend/savings reporting, and critical action tracking.
  • Coordinate the Supplier Performance Management (SPM) process by consolidating inputs and facilitating cross‑functional scorecard activities.
  • Execute end‑to‑end Procure‑to‑Pay processes to ensure timely and accurate order placement, invoicing, and issue resolution.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process and system improvements that enhance operational efficiency, visibility, and procurement execution.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Exceptional knowledge of purchasing
  • Supply Chain Management (SCM)
  • Experience working in an engineering or semiconductor company with understanding of foundry industry and service offerings
  • Understanding of regional and global markets and cultures

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

BS/BA degree
