Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Instructional designer who has experience with eLearning development to lead a team of Instructional Designers and eLearning Developers. This team for eLearning development is responsible for developing technical on-demand training on all AMD products for customers.
AMD Customer Training is targeted to support the specific training requirements to develop all customer facing training. Our organization produces Training Solutions specific to our target audience focused on AMD products, technologies, and vertical market segments, tools, and systems and applications.
Our overall mission is to accelerate the success of our customers by providing timely, targeted training solutions that develop a user's skills and knowledge to drive a measurable improvement in performance and support AMD new product introductions (NPI).
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 6-8 employees which includes both Instruction designers and eLearning developers
- Work with SMEs to develop and deliver high-quality on-demand courses on AMD products for customers
- Provide Instructional Design expertise in developing storyboards to assist the AMD Customer Training Team (CTT) in providing an extraordinary E-learning experience for our 100,000+ customers globally
- The development of E-learning content includes,
- Content Conceptualization:
- Understand the Target Audience
- Understand the learning objective behind the eLearning Module
- Analyze the training collateral based on its training objective and use it to develop the E-learning content
- Weave a story around the relevant content to make it easy for learners to grasp the information which is being delivered
- Storyboarding:
- Provide graphical layout to the conceptualized content in chronological order to help visualize the final digital output
- It includes strategies for media, voice-over, on-screen-text and quiz questions
- AMD will provide an audio transcript for each slide which will be read out for audio recording of that slide
- Content Digitization:
- Guide eDevelopers in,
- Converting the Storyboard into digital output by adding media player, graphics, animations, voice-over and on-screen text
- Aligning text and graphics to optimize content layout
- Following AMD Best Practices about Articulate StoryLine templates, colour combinations, text style and font, etc.
- Incorporating feedback from Course Developers (SME) on eLearning content developed
- Publishing the course and preview, making sure everything works as it should
- Synchronizing all voiceover narration to the appropriate slides in the course
- Guide eDevelopers in,
- Enhance eLearning Eco-system
- Constantly find ways to improve eLearning processes and practices which would result in better quality and increased productivity
- Content Conceptualization:
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in Instructional Design related to E-learning
- Ability to understand the technical collateral provided by AMD
- Some experience with eLearning development using Articulate Storyline
- Experience in leading a team of Instructional Designers and eLearning developers is preferred
- Experience in Voice Over is a plus
