THE ROLE:
The Software Ecosystem Enablement team at AMD develops graphics and AI‑accelerated software that enables cutting‑edge applications—from AAA games and real‑time rendering to machine‑learning‑driven workloads. The SEE PMO team is searching for a software program manager to drive development of research‑driven, real‑time, performance‑sensitive software, and leading-edge technologies including machine learning research. You will interact with SEE engineering management, product management, software and hardware engineering teams, quality assurance, and release management. You will also be collaboratively driving the group's roadmap.
THE PERSON:
You are a proactive, accountable program manager who thrives in technically complex environments in addition to being results-oriented and comfortable operating where the path is not fully defined while balancing structure and flexibility. You can make an impact through influence to resolve ambiguity and adapt to changes in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who can engage with key stakeholders at all levels and is energized by working closely with engineers and researchers. You can translate complex technical work into clear execution plans and can craft decision‑ready updates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and align software development roadmaps with silicon milestones (tape-out, bring-up, validation, launch)·
- Drive end‑to‑end planning and execution of complex software programs, from early research exploration through productized release
- Drive post-silicon bring-up readiness
- Accountable for the maintenance and accuracy of project/ program documentation, systems, and spaces
- Build contingency plans as required to meet the needs of the business
- Track execution, risks, dependencies, and trade‑offs (performance, schedule, quality) and communicate clearly to stakeholders and leadership
- Identify and mitigate integration bottlenecks late in development, drive closure of critical issues ahead of release gates
- Drive closure of critical bugs before release gates
- Help ensure ecosystem readiness at launch, including ISV enablement, documentation, and integration considerations
- Contribute to continuous improvement of program execution processes and operating rhythms
- Coordinate optimization efforts across teams
- Collaborate to ensure a smooth Day 0 launch

· Ask informed questions about rendering pipelines, AI/ML techniques, and system trade‑offs
· Develop sufficient technical depth to represent programs accurately to leadership and partners
· Be intellectually curious, technically engaged, and motivated to deeply understand the products they help ship.
AI UTILIZATION EXPECTATIONS
You are expected to use AI tools to increase speed and quality of execution—for example, drafting clear status updates, synthesizing meeting notes, producing first‑pass plans, and improving written communication.
- Maintain human accountability: validate AI outputs, confirm technical correctness with subject‑matter experts when needed, and never represent AI‑generated content as verified fact without review.
- Use sound judgment: write effective prompts, cite sources/assumptions in deliverables when appropriate, and continuously improve your AI‑enabled workflows while keeping stakeholders' trust.
