Memory/SSD Team Lead
THE ROLE:
This role is part of a highly technical silicon validation team responsible for Memory/SSD sub‑system. The focus includes DDR5/DDR4/LPDDR5 memory interfaces, Storage/SSD platform‑level validation, and close co‑work with ODMs, DRAM/DIMM vendors, and SSD ecosystem partners to ensure robust end‑to‑end system enablement.
THE PERSON:
The person needs to be well motivated for project deliveries and innovation, and a strong technical background in DDR/SSD interface, also with good communication and management skillset.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will lead a local team to deliver Memory/SSD enablement w/ China Eco-system vendors, and provide customer support
- Provide guidance to teams to execute electrical & functional test plans for AMD processors using hardware & software validation tools, oscilloscopes, & logic analyzers.
- Debug of electrical & functional issues of the memory/SSD sub-system of new processors
- Review customer platform design on memory/SSD interface.
- Perform memory/SSD AVL activities.
- Work closely with ODMs, DIMM vendors, and memory/SSD ecosystem partners to:
- Enable new memory products and configurations
- Drive co‑debug and joint root‑cause analysis on platform and customer‑reported issues
- Support vendors bring‑up, qualification, and issue resolution
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Requires experience and demonstrated technical expertise in the development & execution of platform level electrical & functional test plans. DDR5/LPDDR5 Memory test experience on electronic components such as uProcessors would be considered a big plus.
- Requires extensive hands-on experience and demonstrated technical expertise in the debug of I/O interfaces such as PCIE/Storage/SSD
- Familiar with DDR/LPDDR/SSD signal measurement, reading schematics and layout documentation
- Requires good written and oral communication skills both in Mandarin and English.
- Independent team management experience.
- AI skillset is a must
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Working knowledge of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and protocol analyzers
- Self-organizing and the ability to multitask based on priorities
- Scripting and automation tool development is a plus.
- Linux environment validation or development experience is also a great plus
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor with 12+ years' experience.
- Master with 9+ years' experience.
