The Singapore-based Packaging Reliability Engineer would lead board-level reliability activities for 5nm/7nm AMD CPU/GPU/APU and graphic-card products employing advanced multi-chip, 2.5D and 3D package constructions.

Critical skills:

In-depth knowledge of advanced semiconductor packaging materials, fabrication processes and material characterization techniques.

Familiar with printed wiring board materials, SMT circuit board assembly and sockets/connectors.

Experience using MATLAB, LabView and statistical analysis software such as JMP or Reliasoft.

Familiar with advanced failure analysis and fault isolation equipment/procedures.

Background in reliability analysis such as physics of failure analysis (PoF), design for reliability (DfR), design of experiment (DoE), failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA).

Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) modelling using Ansys or Abaqus.

Experience with data analytics software such as Tableau.

Demonstrated ability to create innovative problem solutions for complex technical challenges, to identify critical technical gaps, to make reasonable, simplifying assumptions, and to do so all under significant time-constraints.

Superior written communication skills, including comprehensive technical reports.

Superior oral skills and ability to thrive as a team player in a diverse, multi-national organization.

Education:

PhD or PhD-candidate in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Chemistry
