Key Responsibilities
  • Customer technical leadership: serve as the senior China PAE technical focal for the MI455 program; establish engagement rhythm, technical priorities, and execution plan with clear owners and timelines.
  • System bring-up & validation enablement: support early hardware/software bring-up, readiness reviews, and validation planning across platform domains (HW, FW, OS/driver, power/thermal, RAS, serviceability) to ensure smooth customer and ODM progress.
  • Design reviews & integration guidance: review customer/ODM designs and integration approach; identify risks and gaps early and drive closure actions with the right AMD domain teams.
  • Issue triage and L1 debug leadership: lead problem definition, data collection, reproduction strategy, and initial triage for complex system issues; coordinate escalation to L2/domain experts and track issues to verified resolution.
  • Cross-functional orchestration: align and drive execution across global engineering, program management, quality, support, and partner teams to meet program milestones and unblock customer deployment.
  • Customer communication & governance: run technical reviews and issue scrub meetings; provide clear, executive-ready status (top issues, risks, mitigation, next milestones) and maintain crisp documentation of decisions and action items.
  • Enablement & knowledge transfer: deliver customer/ODM trainings on AMD collateral, tools, bring-up/validation methodologies, and troubleshooting best practices; identify documentation gaps and drive updates with internal owners.
  • ODM build & manufacturing support: support pilot builds and ramp readiness; advise on manufacturing screens/tests, firmware provisioning, service procedures, and field handling to enable stable production and deployment.
  • Sustaining support: support post-launch issues and update adoption (e.g., firmware/software packages); help customers evaluate fixes, manage rollout risk, and ensure operational readiness.
  • Voice of the customer: consolidate customer feedback into actionable asks for AMD (product gaps, tooling needs, reliability/serviceability improvements) and drive prioritization through the appropriate channels.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in server / accelerator / data center platform engineering, product application engineering, systems integration, or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Strong system-level debugging and triage skills across HW/FW/OS interactions (e.g., platform bring-up, stability issues, I/O, power/thermal interactions).
  • Hands-on familiarity with modern data center server platforms and rack integration topics (power delivery, liquid cooling concepts, serviceability/FRU practices, manufacturing bring-up).
  • Ability to lead technical execution across multiple stakeholders and time zones; proven experience driving issues to closure with clear communication and disciplined tracking.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and able to work effectively in English in global engineering discussions (written and verbal).
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and ODM factories as required by program milestones and escalations.
