PRINCIPAL RF SILICON APPLICATION ENGINEER

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a seasoned SoC Application Engineer with expertise or significant interest in advanced analog front end using Direct RF sampling. You have had significant success driving Transceiver sub-system architecture, product roadmaps and product requirements. You are meticulous about RF Signaling Performance, SWaP-C while driving project schedule. This senior role will stretch you as you lead RF Application teams in new directions for advanced Silicon Application in RF package, network with our world-class, patent-holding think-tank, and negotiate amongst Silicon design teams, marketing, and business unit executives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop integration of RF dataconverters silicon in Package and PCB following product features and capabilities targeted, close application guidance, and drive technical specifications for RF SoC to meet those requirements, and provide technical direction to execution teams
• Comprehend the SOC as a complete system which includes HW (Silicon), FW, BIOS & SW and ensure that FW, BIOS & SW are aligned to enable all features, optimizing for targeted performance and power
• Work cross functionally with IP/Domain architects to identify and assess complex technical issues/risks and develop architectural solutions to achieve product requirements
• Knowledge sharing and other contributions to Platform & System Architecture
• As an overall product owner, responsible for application guidance and technical solutions for marketing/feature change requests
• Work closely with Design teams for performance characterization, Design concept validation, Test plan reviews, Emulation plans, Pre-Si bug resolution and Performance/Power Verification sign offs
• Support Post-Si teams for Product Performance, Power and functional issues debug/resolution

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Outstanding foundation in Systems & SoC architecture, with expertise in one or more of the following: RF Module, RF PCB, RF Silicon IP, Antenna, Radio Unit, RF Laboratory, Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, 3D EM Simulation.
• Strong understanding of RF system in package to accommodate substrate and PCB designs
• Proven experience in RF sub-system design including specifications, layout design, 3D extraction, simulation, PnR and assembly follow-up
• Demonstrated expertise in high quality RF/Analog systems using industry best practice methods
• Excellent communication, management, and presentation skills.
• Adept at collaboration among top-thinkers and senior architects with strong interpersonal skills to work across teams in different geographies

 ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in related discipline preferred
