THE ROLE: 

We are in search of an experienced program manager with strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills. Ability to work efficiently and manage effective relationships in a cross-functional organization to meet commitments for successful customer program launches. Must be self-directed and work in complex and dynamic ecosystems. 

 

THE PERSON: 

AMD is looking for a Program Manager to coordinate program delivery between global teams with ATG and AMD. You will be responsible for managing ATG's deliverables to AMD Programs You will interact with key engineering and management stakeholders of the customer as well as the Business Unit team to report progress, align on critical topics and drive action items to closure. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Create, run, and report metrics to generate overall execution status internally as well as externally and make critical communication to stakeholders on schedule changes, unforeseen bugs etc. and align on right next steps.
  • Proactively craft and deploy standardized lightweight processes to bring execution focus and efficiency. Lead and drive these process adoptions among other groups within the Business Unit.
  • Use and drive the team to use AI to achieve business goals
  • Manage and handle escalations with a sense of urgency and proactive problem solving. Ensure senior management is pre-fetched and no surprise escalations.
  • Ensure customer issues are assigned, prioritized and response/resolution metrics are met for the customer programs, as per contractual commitments.
  • Connect and coordinate internally with key stakeholders in cross functional team to address and balance prioritization of reasonable needs/asks vs. push back on others.
  • Facilitate closure of complex issues and action items requiring multi-party alignment of AMD teams, business unit and partners
  • Build strong engineering relationship with the program management and engineering counterparts on business unit side.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Good breadth of technical/system knowledge (SoC, FW, SW, Tools) and experience in multi-disciplinary engineering areas
  • Experience working in a global, multi-cultural environment and ability to travel as needed.
  • Knowledge of Computer Vision Machine Learning (CVML) and AI is considered as an
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Strong people skills
  • Results driven.
  • Team player with passion and hunger to do whatever it takes for business success.
  • Keen sense of urgency and drive for results

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering 
  • Formal project management education, PMP / Scrum Master a plus but not required
