Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring Program Manager to Define, plan, and drives SW project and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance. Possess a thorough knowledge of the principles of project management and apply them effectively on small to large size projects. Responsible for projects or processes of significant technical importance and for results that cross engineering project areas. Initiate significant changes to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficiency. Create and maintain project management artifacts such as schedule, resource and resource forecast, risk and issues logs. Provide unique views of project status updates and facilitates cross development team dependencies and communications. Identify action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle. Collaborate with cross functional core teams and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations to identify corrective actions. Collect, analyze, organize and publish work performance data via dashboards and recurring status reports. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various AMD products.

Qualifications: Degree required
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field.
Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Three (3) years of experience in job offered or closely related engineering or technical program management role.
Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will accept alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Management, or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or closely related engineering or technical program management role.
Specific skills required: The following skills are required:
Position requires three (3) years of experience in the following:
- Leading product development projects for semiconductor products;
- Requirements management, documentation management, and defect management;
- Communicating concepts and processes with stakeholders;
- Analyzing customers design requirements and identifying design critical enhancements;
- Developing product or feature roadmaps;
- Agile methodology;
- Hardware and software verification;
- Logic and circuit design;
- RTL design and coding;
- Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL;
- Functional verification of microprocessors; and
- Design flows and methodologies used for chip verification.
