THE ROLE:

We are the Central Engineering team providing test and manufacturing solutions for Enterprise New Product Introduction (NPI) under the Product Engineering Organization. We do exciting product development for groundbreaking technology that will power the next generation processors used for high performance computing, data centers, and enterprise servers.

 

In this role, you will be managing a team of highly technical test engineers developing contents for Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) insertions for both Sort and Final test. This is a leadership position that requires engagement with Design and Platform Engineering to drive optimization of test costs and product quality for next-generation AMD products

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a team of 5 or more test engineers responsible for test content and test program development for ATE
  • Advise a technical team, lead technical discussions, and handle execution
  • Establish pre-silicon test requirements and drive design verification and diagnostics teams' deliveries for Product Development Engineering
  • Implement post-silicon bring-up plans and ensure timely release of high-quality test programs with the defined contents based on samples phase requirements
  • Drive multi-functional debug activities during NPI phase
  • Meet or beat Test Key Performance Indicators – test time, first time right, yield, and quality
  • Work with Hardware Infrastructure team in designing and planning hardware that will meet product test requirements
  • In charge of development plans and annual performance evaluations for the test team.

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated people management experience especially in leading technical staff
  • ATE test content development and board design knowledge
  • Strong knowledge in Test methodologies and DFT strategies
  • Knowledgeable in version control tools (Git, Perforce)
  • Well-versed in task management tools (Jira, Kanban)
  • Knowledgeable in statistical analysis
  • Proficient in Windows, Unix, and Linux operating systems
  • Strong communication skills at both the technical and executive levels, including the ability to create and discuss technical documentation and presentations

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • BS/MS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or comparable disciplines
