ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD.

At AMD, we believe technology has the power to solve the world's most important challenges. From advancing healthcare and scientific discovery to powering AI and the technologies people rely on every day, innovation at AMD is shaping the future.

Whether you're designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or bringing leading edge products to market, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward. Join us and, together, we'll advance your career.

THE ROLE

AMD is seeking a Senior Manager, HPC & AI for Science Marketing to lead the global marketing strategy for one of AMD's most important areas of technology leadership.

High-performance computing and AI are rapidly converging, creating new possibilities for scientific discovery across areas including energy, climate, healthcare, life sciences, physics, engineering and national research. AMD technologies already power many of the world's most advanced supercomputing systems, and this role will help translate that technology leadership into a differentiated and compelling global market position.

As part of AMD's Global Public Sector Marketing & Communications organization, you will own the HPC and AI for Science go-to-market strategy, working across AMD business units, sales, engineering, product marketing, communications, government affairs, ecosystem partners and customers.

You will lead integrated marketing around strategic initiatives including national laboratories, exascale and next-generation supercomputing, AI Factories, and major AI for Science programs.

This role is about more than marketing individual systems or announcements. You will help establish HPC and AI for Science as a distinct global marketing discipline at AMD, connecting our technology, customers, researchers and ecosystem into a narrative about how AMD computing is helping solve some of the world's most important challenges.

THE PERSON

You are a strategic marketer and storyteller who is excited by the intersection of technology, science and AI.

You understand the HPC and AI landscape and can translate complex technical capabilities into clear, credible and differentiated stories for audiences ranging from researchers and technical leaders to government decision-makers, partners, media and senior executives.

You are equally comfortable setting global strategy and translating it into effective execution.

You know how to take a major customer or technology win and build a much bigger story around it, connecting technology leadership with customer outcomes, scientific discovery and market opportunity.

You thrive in highly matrixed environments and can bring together teams across engineering, product, sales, communications and marketing around a shared strategy. You are intellectually curious, collaborative, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated by building something new.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own and execute AMD's global HPC & AI for Science marketing strategy, aligned to the broader Global Public Sector Marketing & Communications strategy.
  • Establish a differentiated global narrative for AMD leadership across HPC, AI for Science, national research infrastructure and next-generation scientific computing.
  • Develop the integrated go-to-market strategy for major HPC and AI for Science initiatives, working across AMD Instinct™, EPYC™, ROCm™ and the broader AMD technology portfolio.
  • Lead marketing activation around strategic programs including major global supercomputing initiatives.
  • Build a repeatable win → deploy → prove → tell → package → replicate marketing model that turns individual customer successes into scalable global proof points and growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with scientists, researchers, national laboratories and customers to identify compelling workloads, scientific breakthroughs and outcomes enabled by AMD technology and translate them into customer stories and advocacy programs.
  • Build an integrated global campaign around AMD-powered scientific computing systems, connecting individual deployments into a broader AMD AI for Science leadership story.
  • Partner with Executive Communications, PR, Social and Content teams to amplify AMD HPC and AI for Science leadership through executive thought leadership, earned media, digital storytelling and customer advocacy.
  • Develop compelling narratives and content for major launches, executive keynotes, industry events, customer engagements, analyst briefings and strategic partner programs.
  • Partner with AMD product and technical teams to ensure marketing claims and narratives are technically credible, differentiated and grounded in meaningful customer proof points.
  • Work with regional Public Sector marketing teams to adapt global programs for priority markets and national computing initiatives.
  • Partner with ecosystem organizations, OEMs, research institutions, universities and other strategic partners to extend AMD's reach and strengthen joint market positioning.
  • Lead AMD's marketing presence at key HPC and AI for Science industry moments and events, ensuring investments support the broader strategic narrative and measurable business objectives.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape across HPC, accelerated computing and AI for Science, translating market intelligence into actionable marketing strategy.
  • Establish KPIs and measurement for HPC and AI for Science marketing, including strategic opportunity influence, customer advocacy, awareness and preference, ecosystem engagement and business impact.
  • Use AI tools and emerging marketing technologies to accelerate market intelligence, content development, audience insights and program execution.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Significant experience in B2B technology marketing, product marketing, integrated marketing or a related discipline, ideally within HPC, AI, data center, cloud, semiconductors or scientific computing.
  • Strong understanding of the HPC ecosystem, including supercomputing, national laboratories, research institutions, scientific workloads and the growing convergence between HPC and AI.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop global go-to-market strategies and translate highly technical technologies into compelling customer and market narratives.
  • Experience building integrated campaigns across content, digital, events, PR, executive communications, partners and customer advocacy.
  • Experience working with government, national laboratories, universities, research institutions or other Public Sector organizations is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the competitive landscape across accelerated computing, CPUs, GPUs, AI infrastructure and software ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead across large, complex matrixed organizations without relying solely on direct authority.
  • Experience working directly with senior executives, technical leaders, customers and external partners.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both deeply technical and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to move between long-term strategy and hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using AI tools for research, competitive intelligence, content development or marketing execution is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel globally as required for customer engagements, industry events and strategic programs.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field preferred.
