KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work as part of the global Custom Software Engineering team to design the solution, POC, custom drivers for AMD's customers.
• Specify, design, and implement new ASIC and custom AI software features on AMD products.
• Profile, debug, and tune performance to maximize hardware utilization for AI workload.
• Coordinate closely with peers in both Asia and North America to ensure timely and effective communication of all assigned work activities.
• Represent AMD software occasionally to be customer-facing, for technical design investigation.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
• Experience and knowledge with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, Keras.
• In-depth understanding of AI algorithm; experience on algorithm implementation or integrate with popular inference engine (vLLM, Clang, or SD)
• 2+ years working experience in machine learning or statistics (or equivalent research experience)
• Strong software development experience in languages such as Python, Java, C++, Scala, C#
• Experience in Low-level programming of hardware devices is preferred
• Architecture in both kernel & user modes is a plus
• In-depth understanding of PC & Operating System architecture
• Good software design capability and hands-on knowledge
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good team works
• Self-motivated, strong initiative, can work under moderate to minimal supervision
