THE TEAM

AMD's Data Center Platform Engineering Group (DPEG) - Industry Technology Enablement (ITE) Team is designing, developing, and delivering innovative technology infrastructure enabling the digital world. We create cloud-enabling server/rack solutions that help the world's leading companies turn their ideas into reality. THE ROLE

AMD is seeking a results-driven Senior Technical Program Manager – Strategic Partners Enablement to shape the next generation of high-performance computing and AI infrastructure. As a member of the DPEG/ITE Team, you will define, champion, and enable/engaging existing and new partners/vendors in support of the Instinct roadmap and solutions. In this collaborative role you will engage with architects, design and systems engineers, component quality and reliability engineers, procurement, program and operations leaders, and external partners to deliver tested, qualified and approved and components needed in different Program milestones.  
 

  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Define and implement structured vendor processes qualification, validation, KPI/scorecards, and captured and drive lesson learn to asses vendor performance and capabilities.  
  • Act as the primary program liaison with thermal/mechanical solution vendors, ensuring alignment on technical, business, schedule, and process requirements.  
  • Collaborate with current and future technology facing architecture and thermal/mechanical design teams. 
  • Collaborate with procurement, quality, and reliability teams to bridge AMD requirements with vendor capabilities for production execution.  
  • Collaborate with architecture and design team to identify, and assess thermal technologies and work with vendors and internal teams to evaluate the technologies for alignment to the AMD product roadmap  
  • Communicate clear product technical status, risk and mitigation strategies to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Enable a robust component ecosystem, industry supply chain and NPI acceleration to identify early component risks. 
  • Lead and participate vendor audit (onsite/virtual) for design and development process alignment and NPI to MP ramp readiness. 
  • Work in a dynamic and fast-paced product development environment  
  • Drive process improvements while executing fast time-to-market on products.  
  • Collaborate with Legal and Procurement teams to align vendor technical requirements, scope, performance with statement of work (SOW), service license agreement (SLA), general service agreement (GSA), Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), and AVL enablement and executions. 
     

 

REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and sustain cross-functional and cross-organizational teams in a matrixed environment.  
  • Extensive experience managing complex technical programs; familiarity with server platforms, external third party vendor/supplier management, and thermal/mechanical concepts is a plus.  
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; skilled at prioritizing and balancing multiple work streams under tight deadlines.  
  • Strong problem-solving skills; capable of structuring complex analyses, extracting insights, and presenting actionable recommendations to senior leadership.  
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, risks, requirements, escalations, and stakeholder management and communications effectively.  
  • Deep knowledge of productivity and project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite)  
  • Experience working with data visualization/reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI). 

 

 

Preferred Experience   

  • Server or Datacenter thermal module design, debug, and test experience a plus.  
  • Semiconductor or high-performance computing industry experience.  
  • Familiarity with vendor qualification processes and mass production readiness.  
  • Proven track record of leading technical teams through complex problem-solving scenarios and interacting with executive leadership.  
  • Good communication skills (Written and Verbal) in English, multi-lingual is a plus.  
  • Ability to work in a team environment (internal/external stakeholders).  
  • Experienced working with cross-functional and cross-organizational teams 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  

Bachelor/Masters, in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
