THE ROLE:  

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer with deep expertise in modern C++ (C++14/17/20) and hands-on experience in Yocto and Android build environments. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing software devetools including software profiler, for next-generation platforms.As a senior member of the team, taking initiative in mentoring to achieve the team's goal of on time delivery is expected. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Drive technical innovation to improve AMD's capabilities across product development and validation, including software tools and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional initiatives.  

• Convert feature specifications into test cases (manual and automated) that will cover several types of testing - boundary, negative, functional, etc.  
• Work with multiple teams and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time.  
• Work closely with supporting technical teams to validate new software features and new OS (Operating System) introduction.  
• Lead collaborative approaches with multiple teams.  
• Mentor others to achieve integrated projects. 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  

• 5–8 years of professional experience in software development.
• Expert-level proficiency in modern C++ (C++14/17/20).
• Good understanding of Yocto Project for embedded Linux development.
• Good understanding of Android build systems (AOSP, Gradle, etc.).
• Understanding of Linux OS internals is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with cross-compilation, bootloaders, and kernel configuration.
• Experience with version control systems (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and debugging tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  

• Bachelors or master's degree in electrical or computer engineering.  
• Master's degree preferred.
