WHAT YOU DO AT AMD CHANGES EVERYTHING

At AMD, our mission is to build great products that accelerate next-generation computing experiences—from AI and data centers, to PCs, gaming and embedded systems. Grounded in a culture of innovation and collaboration, we believe real progress comes from bold ideas, human ingenuity and a shared passion to create something extraordinary. When you join AMD, you'll discover the real differentiator is our culture. We push the limits of innovation to solve the world's most important challenges—striving for execution excellence, while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives. Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond.  Together, we advance your career.

We're seeking a Sr. Social Media Specialist to join a fast-paced, high-impact outbound product marketing team. This is a critical role as we look to design content and experiences that are optimized for platform algorithms and the expectations of our unique audiences.

This individual is a creative thinker and agile designer who gets energized in a collaborative environment working across teams and disciplines. Most importantly, this individual understands how to design visual assets that are tailored for social platforms and crafting compelling assets.

THE ROLE:

You'll work alongside our product marketing managers, partnering with our broader marketing teams to develop real-time and campaign-based content that reflects our brand while also designed for strong performance natively on platforms like LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and TikTok. Whether it's a major corporate milestone, M&A announcement, CEO communication, event, campaign to support a ROCm update or a product launch — you'll bring visual stories to life that resonate with our diverse set of global audiences (from developers and AI enthusiasts and customers across all AMD AI software products and developer relations).

THE PERSON:

  •  A visual storyteller who thrives in fast-moving digital environments.
  • Deeply attuned to social media design trends and native behaviors across platforms — you know what works on X is not what works on LinkedIn.
  • Comfortable interpreting technical and corporate messaging into human-centered, visually compelling content.
  • Self-directed, resourceful, and collaborative with excellent time management and communication skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design social-first creative assets optimized for individual platforms and their specific user behaviors and trends.
  • Partner with product marketing managers to concept and create assets for:
    • Product launches
    • Event and campaign activations (e.g., hackathon, DevDay, conference)
  • Maintain brand consistency while exploring platform-native trends and design approaches.
  • Create visual toolkits and templates for always-on and campaign content.
  • Stay current on creative best practices, and audience expectations across key social platforms.
  • Work closely with stakeholders including Brand, WW marketing, to ensure visuals support broader business goals.
  • Contribute to content ideation and help translate complex topics (AI, silicon engineering, developer tools) into digestible, engaging visuals.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in social media and digital marketing design, preferably in the tech or B2B space.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing platform-native designs for LinkedIn, X, and Instagram.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, After Effects, or similar design and motion tools.
  • Experience designing for diverse audiences, from highly technical (developers, data center engineers) to broad consumer groups (AI PCs).
  • Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design best practices.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree required.

LOCATION:

  • Austin, TX . Other US locations within proximity of AMD offices may be considered. Hybrid option available.
