JOB DETAILS:
- Location: Ottawa, ON, Canada
- Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time 37.5 hrs a week, either in a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.
- Duration: May 2026 to August 2026
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
We are seeking highly motivated Technical Marketing Engineering intern/co-op to join our team. In this role, you will –
Help define and create customer demos or example designs
Help support customers designing with memory interfaces on FPGAs or adaptive SoCs
Run performance benchmarks and present results to the field and customers
Develop and run tests to measure system level bandwidth and latency, using performance tools, for different applications.
Develop FPGA and adaptive SoC designs using Vivado Design Suite
Resolve customer issues on protocols like DDR4, DDR5, LPDDR4, LPDDR5, HBM, xSPI, etc.
Strong programming skills and understanding of Python and Tcl
Document best practices in AMD AECG documentation and GitHub
Develop training and marketing material for AMD AECG Field people
Drive the needs back through engineering to deliver solutions that customers can use
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- You are currently enrolled in a Canada based University in a Bachelors or Masters degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
Possesses understanding of embedded systems
Experience with FPGAs and/or adaptive SoCs
Experience with Linux
Good understanding of AMD AECG FPGA and adaptive SoC architecture and tools flow
Desire to be hands on with AMD AECG tools, devices, boards and software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability in writing application notes, white papers & customer presentations
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a collaborative team across multiple geographies to creatively solve challenging problems
Self-sufficient in software and hardware development concepts and methods, coding, and debugging
Strong interpersonal skills to work with engineering, marketing, customers, FAEs and sales to deliver timely solutions
