THE ROLE: 

AMD is unwavering in our dedication to delivering an exceptional customer experience. We understand that ease of use and responsive customer support are essential ingredients in achieving this objective. As a valued member of the technical marketing engineering (TME) team in AMD's Data Center GPU & Accelerated Processing product management organization, you'll transform comprehensive technical collateral into engaging and educational presentations and videos for our partners and customers.  Your expertise will bridge the gap between detailed documentation and interactive learning experiences, ensuring users not only comprehend but also apply the knowledge to optimize their AI workloads with AMD's leading-edge GPU technology. 

THE PERSON: 

Are you an AI aficionado with a knack for storytelling and a background in engineering or programming? Do you excel in hands-on demonstration and have a history of equipping customers with the skills to maximize their use of AI technologies? We're on the lookout for a proactive educator and communicator, adept at turning complex technical concepts into immersive workshop content, to lead our customer and partner training initiatives. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Design and deliver compelling training workshops - transforming technical collateral into presentations, videos, and live demos that resonate with our partners and customers. 
  • Master AMD's ROCm software stack and ML frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, to develop and present high-impact educational content. 
  • Develop hands-on demonstrations that clearly illustrate the use and benefits of AMD's data center GPU solutions in real-world AI applications. 
  • Keep current with the latest advancements in AMD software and hardware, ensuring all training materials reflect up-to-date features and best practices. 
  • Solicit and incorporate expert feedback to fine-tune workshop content, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our customers and partners. 
  • Mentor colleagues in developing their technical presentation skills, raising the overall quality of AMD's educational offerings. 

 

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS & COMPETENCIES 

  • Combines deep technical understanding with a passion for education to deliver clear and engaging workshops. 
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of articulating complex information in an accessible manner to a diverse audience. 
  • Committed to customer success, always aiming to exceed expectations through proactive support and effective training. 
  • Thrives in a customer-facing role, able to command attention and engage participants in a large, dynamic environment. 
     

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bring a wealth of experience (8+ years) to the table in running and optimizing AI workloads with GPU or AI accelerators at scale. 
  • Show off your programming prowess in Python & C/C++, adhering to the highest standards of software design practices. 
  • Have a proven track record of successful technical instruction and content development for technical audiences. 
  • Be well-versed with presentation and video editing tools used for producing professional training materials. 
  • Boast hands-on experience with GPUs, FPGAs, or other machine learning accelerators, including a solid understanding of HIP, CUDA, ROCm, or OpenCL. 
  • Possess a history of engagement with customers in high-tech sectors, particularly within hyperscale datacenter or high-performance computing (HPC) landscapes. 

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering required. PhD a plus. 

 

LOCATION: 

  • Santa Clara, CA or remote.  While this position allows for remote work, candidates located in Santa Clara, CA area are preferred for this role. Additionally, candidates based near AMD primary office locations of Austin, Vancouver, or Toronto will also be given priority.

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.  Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
