THE ROLE:
AMD is seeking a Technical Program Manager – ASIC Architecture & Design. Under the Graphics IP PMO umbrella, this role supports program management efforts for graphics and compute IP architecture development.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. The program manager demonstrates great attention to detail and takes pride in delivering accurate and quality results. The individual embraces accountability and shows mettle and tenacity in dealing with new challenges. Some key skills this individual possesses are:
- High competence in project management skills
- Excellent in prioritization, organization, and the ability to multitask
- Superb communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishes IP architecture development project plans, milestones, and deliverables
- Utilizes the established architecture Stage Gate process.
- Works closely with Graphics and Compute architects and can drive architecture development with a certain level of abstraction.
- Creates JIRA projects & dashboards, and tracks feature development.
- Conducts Change Review Board meetings and drives to a solution.
- Establishes Requirement-to-feature traceability via Jama and Jira
- Identifies, tracks, and mitigates program risks.
- Able to implement and track resource allocation across programs and identify resource gaps.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in ASIC development programs, either at IP or SoC level.
- Project management experience
- GPU architecture and/or high-level architecture modeling exposure
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Undergrad degree required. Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
