Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Materials Planning Analyst located in Kendal (Castle Mills), England.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Embedded and Critical Power, the Materials Planning Analyst role involves being in charge of maintaining materials/purchasing data, supplying data and information to other production departments, coordinating contracts, maintaining Certificates of Conformance for all suppliers, and creating and maintaining outsourced parts schedules.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Collect, audit, and analyze data from various sources to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Prepare summary reports, spreadsheets, charts, and graphics based on research and metrics.
  • Maintain and update databases, item master lists, and content records.
  • Monitor and resolve data integrity issues, including quotations and supplier information.
  • Track materials financial performance and initiate corrective actions when needed.
  • Manage purchase orders and coordinate client part transactions, including consigned materials and RMA services.
  • Liaise with clients regarding material supply and bulk RMA services.
  • Support inventory control, material planning, and scheduling activities.
  • Conduct bill of materials research and assist in pricing validation and cost reviews.
  • Contribute to supplier scorecarding and PPV tracking initiatives.
  • Assist in supply chain risk management and data tool design for NPI processes.Assist in the supply chain transfer and risk management for NPI.
  • Provide PPV targeting, tracking and asset velocity.
  • Design, manage and control all data research tools

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in materials planning or a related discipline.
  • Background in electronics manufacturing is a strong advantage.
  • Skilled in interpreting business publications, technical documents, and professional journals.
  • Capable of drafting reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation.
  • Confident in presenting information and engaging with managers, customers, and suppliers.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in calculating financial metrics such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office applications; experience with business systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrates technical expertise aligned with Flex's functional standards.
  • Able to navigate complex problems and adapt to varied instructions and formats.
  • Eligible to work in England.
