Applied Industrial Technologies is an extensive network of industrial distribution facilities located throughout Canada. We currently have an immediate opening for a full time Hose Technician in our Nisku, AB location.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, build, measure, cut, crimp, and test industrial hoses.

  • Operate various cutting and machining tools such as saws, grinders, shears, crimpers, etc.

  • Able to operate forklift and other small loaders.

  • Inspect and test product.

  • Document non-conformances.

  • Communicate with supervisor any assembly discrepancies;

Qualifications (experience & education): 

  • Valid license and clean driving record.

  • High school diploma or GED. Preferred technical training in related field.

  • Mechanically inclined coupled with strong working ethics.

  • Ability to take instructions and follow directions.

  • Excellent organization and communication skills.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends if needed be.

  • Ability to lead by example and to promote high morale by showing enthusiasm for your work and determination to achieve results.

  • Ability to establish a strong sense of trust with team members.

  • Ability to learn and follow company's policies and procedures.

Working Conditions: Fast-paced environment; work under pressure; attention to detail; repetitive tasks; bending, crouching, kneeling. Able to lift and carry heavy parts of up to 50 lbs on a regular basis;
