Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of a motivated individual to fill the position of a Bi-lingual Technical Sales Representative at our Florenceville, NB location

Position Overview

In this relationship-focused sales role, you will report to the General Manager and play a key part in maintaining customer commitments as the business continues to grow. You will be responsible for expanding your territory (and your earning potential) by generating new business and building strong, long-term relationships within existing accounts.

Success in this role requires a consultative sales approach. You will regularly engage with engineers, maintenance teams, purchasing, and other key stakeholders to understand their needs and help customers achieve improved operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing new business while maintaining and growing an existing sales territory

  • Prospecting new customers, setting appointments, and clearly demonstrating product value

  • Building strategic customer relationships to understand business goals, growth plans, and profit drivers, and delivering the appropriate value-based solutions

  • Collaborating with management to develop sales strategies and identify new business opportunities

  • Responding to customer inquiries regarding products and solutions

  • Actively engaging in direct sales activities

  • Promoting existing and new products to customers

  • Anticipating customer needs, priorities, and future objectives

  • Managing a robust and active sales territory

  • Maintaining cooperative and productive relationships with internal teams

  • Participating in required training sessions and sales meetings

  • Meeting or exceeding established sales targets

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following:

  • Bilingual (French and English) – considered an asset

  • Mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial and/or agricultural sales

  • Strong sales and customer service orientation

  • Professional conduct and strong communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

  • Proven ability to prospect and develop new clients

  • Comfortable using technology to source components and access product information

  • Ability to maintain existing customer relationships and build new ones

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
