Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Manager responsible for the coordination, planning, scheduling and operations of the Ships Self Defense Systems (SSDS) facility at Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA. The mission at SCSC includes Research and Development, Training, Fleet Emergent Testing, System Integration and hardware/software Certification. The SCSC is located on a barrier island on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and is a tenant of the NASA's Wallops Flight Facility. SCSC provides live combat systems suites with platform specific radars and sensors and supports the following functions: combat system lifetime support engineering, platform certification, operational and technical evaluation, combat system training, interoperability testing and participates in at-sea exercises. SCSC provides a high-fidelity representative combat system of every ship in the AEGIS and Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) fleet today and those planned in the future.
The selected candidate will determine, monitor and review costs, operational budgets and schedules and manpower requirements and will over see Engineering, Operations and Facilities, Projects, and the labor pool to carry out these functions in the most practical and cost-efficient methods.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education and years of related/relevant experience required: Ten (10) years of Combat Systems experience in the SSDS Mk2 systems to include: tactical employment in support of Surface, Air, and Strike warfare areas. Of the ten (10) years, eight (8) years of management experience with the Surface Combat Systems, including responsibility for managing technical performance, reliability, maintainability, cost, schedule, and delivery requirements. The selected candidate will over see all facets of Site management to include: Engineering, Operations, Facilities, Projects, and the labor pool to carry out these functions in the most practical and cost-efficient methods.

Security clearance requirement: This position requires the successful candidate to be able to obtain a Secret level clearance. The criteria for obtaining and holding a clearance are driven by US government requirements. You must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance. If candidate selected needs to be processed for the Secret clearance, he/she will receive a contingent offer and start date will be delayed until an interim Secret clearance is granted.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Highly desired, but not required:
Active DoD Secret security clearance
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline.
Certified PMP and familiarization with US Navy 3M program.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $102200 - $173700

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
