North Colorado Medical Center is seeking a full-time Cardiology Invasive Technologist to work in a busy Cath Lab in Northern Colorado. The successful Cardiology Invasive Technologist candidate must have a certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program and will have extensive clinical knowledge typically achieved with 2+ years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab. This Cardiology Invasive Technologist position is 36-hours per week working 7:00 am - 4:30 pm and requires participation in weeknight, weekend, and holiday call. This position under the direction of a qualified physician assists in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures on patients. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide optimal care\treatment to patient population.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Completion of a Cardiovascular Invasive program or equivalent experience. BLS required. ACLS may be required depending on assignment.
Must have successfully passed the Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) exams. May require national certification, American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, and licensure by state regulatory agency if applicable.
This position requires extensive clinical knowledge typically achieved with 2+ years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab in a hospital setting or meeting the requirements of certification board. The position requires the ability to maintain professional decorum in highly stressful emergent situations. The position requires the ability to be conscientious, organized, and orderly and the ability to respond quickly to the needs of the health care staff and patient.
Bachelors degree preferred.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
