Summary of Position: 

• Responsible for the installation, support and repair of computers, software, PC-related peripheral devices. 

• Completes maintenance of Help Desk issues. 

• Acts as liaison with our partners to resolve IT issues.

• Responds to users in a timely and professional manner.

• Completes problem reporting and tracking, database establishment and maintenance as well as status reporting.

• Basic project management.

• Intermediate Network and Server support.

• User training.

• Technology research and implementation.  

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. 

• Associate's degree or above preferred.

Experience:

• Previous experience in Information Systems or related field; EPIC EMR experience preferred.

• Hospital or other healthcare environment experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Intermediate knowledge of PC's and technical software.

• PC repair and building. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications or Google Business suite.

• Ability to assist and diagnose user application or system problems and escalation of issues to appropriate support staff or vendors, as needed.

• IT ticketing systems. 

• Documentation and work instructions.

Essential Functions

1. Provides consistently exceptional care at all times.

2. Provides a central resource for all issues and projects; determines the best course of action for resolution.

3. Receives and logs calls from various system users; alerting staff of outstanding issues.

4. Assists with system security and provides technical support as needed.

5. Performs scheduled and non-scheduled operational functions required.

6. Acts as liaison on IT issues.

7. Provides excellent customer support.

8. Participates in on-call schedule rotation as needed.

9. Demonstrates willingness to identify and/or assume activities relative to the developmental needs of the department.

10. Demonstrates dependability/flexibility in meeting scheduling needs of the department and hospital.

11. Accepts assignment as preceptor for new staff.

12. Completes work assignments on time/readily accepts assignments as observed by manager.

13. Works collaboratively and effectively with peers.

14. Responds to the needs of the department by performing other duties, as necessary.
