About the role:
As an Operations Manager, you will lead and inspire a dynamic event team within a fast-paced creative agency. Your innovative and service-driven approach will ensure logistical excellence in experiential events, while fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.
As an Operations Manager, you will:
- Lead and develop a team of Event Managers, helping them achieve both personal and business goals.
- Manage recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development for new and existing team members.
- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance team performance and ensure adherence to BCD M&E's operational excellence.
- Collaborate with production and pre-sales teams to craft creative concepts and program designs.
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring delivery aligns with client expectations.
You're good at:
- Effectively managing and leading teams in a virtual setting.
- Communicating expectations clearly and providing constructive feedback.
- Budget management and the strategic tracking of cost savings.
- Developing and presenting engaging presentations.
- Working collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
You might also have:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Over ten years of experience in meetings management or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with Cvent and other event technology tools.
- Experience with domestic and international events and group travel dynamics.
You should know:
- Your travel-to-home ratio will be approximately 20% on the road and 80% working from home.
- Standard working hours may vary based on event schedules and operational needs. Regular team and management meetings will be scheduled, along with the potential need for flexible hours during events.

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Operations Manager is between $75,000 - $100,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
