Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy
- Active state-level licensure or be a Registered Intern, as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or registered intern (RMCHI), or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or clinical social work intern (RCSWI)
- Experience working with school-aged children and adolescents preferred but not required

What You'll Do:
- Apply evidenced-based mental health counseling methods and techniques
- Utilize DSM and mental health counseling principles, procedures, and standards
- Work independently to develop collaborative relationships with parents, teachers, school administration, families, students, interdisciplinary team and other community agencies
- Complete biopsychosocial assessments to obtain information pertaining to medical history or other pertinent information
- Administer trauma-informed screening and assessment tools, such as the CFARS and ACE Questionnaire
- Provide individual and group counseling and classroom support (when appropriate) with students to focus on emotional or behavioral goals that promote enhanced school functioning, with signed parental consent
- Administer therapeutic interventions like: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Seeking Safety in individual, family, and group settings
- Support campus counselors and administrators to conduct crisis risk assessments, de-escalate students, and provide recommendations for community/family support, as appropriate
- Provide consultation to parents and family members regarding progress and concerns for students
- Develop concrete, specific individualized treatment plans with goals, objectives and discharge criteria to address student and family needs
- Assures clinical documentation is completed according to company policy and procedures
