This is a high-impact, new business sales role focused on driving growth for BMC Software's flagship solution—Control-M. As a Pursuit New Logo Account Manager (Control-M), you will take ownership of a defined territory of approximately 200 target accounts, with significant untapped potential. Your focus will be on acquiring new customers, building pipeline from the ground up, and establishing Control-M as a critical platform within enterprise environments. Control-M sits at the center of a rapidly evolving automation landscape, with continuous innovation across cloud, data, and application workflow orchestration. This gives you a powerful, forward-looking value proposition to take to market—helping customers modernize operations and unlock greater efficiency and agility. This is a role for a true hunter—someone who thrives on proactive engagement, opening doors, and converting opportunities into wins. You will operate with autonomy while leveraging BMC's strong brand, ongoing innovation, and solution expertise to accelerate success.

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC Software's and your own success:

  • Drive new logo acquisition by identifying, targeting, and converting net-new accounts within your assigned territory
  • Own and execute a territory strategy across ~200 accounts, unlocking significant growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive outreach, account-based selling, and strategic prospecting
  • Position Control-M's innovative value by aligning advanced workload automation capabilities to customer business priorities
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders, creating demand and progressing opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Lead end-to-end sales execution, collaborating with internal teams to deliver and close high-value deals
To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience: 

  • You are a proven new business sales professional with a strong track record in enterprise software sales
  • You thrive in a hunting role, with the ability to generate pipeline and win net-new logos
  • You are confident engaging and influencing C-level and senior stakeholders
  • You consistently meet or exceed sales targets in competitive environments
  • You are skilled in value-based selling, connecting innovative solutions like Control-M to measurable business outcomes
  • You bring strong communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country-specific benefits. At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. This roles compensation includes a mix of base salary and variable pay. The base salary range is $104,000 - $156,000, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) range of $208,000 - $312,000.
